Purpose and Theme

Ely Prudent Portfolios is an independent fee-only Registered Investment Advisor. As fee-only financial advisors we are compensated only by our clients and accept no commissions or compensation from other sources. This aligns our interests with those of our clients and reduces the potential for conflicts of interest.

Making the right financial decisions is difficult because we live in an uncertain world. As I get older I appreciate John Wesley’s quote more and more, “When I was young I was sure of everything; in a few years, having been mistaken a thousand times, I was not half so sure of most things as I was before; at present, I am hardly sure of anything but what God has revealed to me.” Our motto explains how we handle this uncertainty, “Because you can’t always be right…you must be prudent.”

At Ely Prudent Portfolios we are constantly striving to gain knowledge, understanding, and insight. In working with others we always try to do what is right and just and fair. We are continually listening and learning so our advising can be more discerning and our guidance more helpful.
